Nine people faced multiple charges after a body resurfaced on a pond in Mississippi.

The charges were kidnapping, capital murder and hindering prosecution.

According to Washington Times, the body was found weighted and anchored in several feet of water in the middle of February when authorities drained the pond as reported by the Neshoba County sherriff's officials and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigations.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released and the body was sent to the state crime lab.
