On Sunday night, the premiere of “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?” Season 4 gave viewers several updates on some of their favorite couples from the TLC reality series. However, after the episode, cast member Nicole Nafziger revealed she and her fiancé, Azan Tefou lied about calling off their wedding in Morocco.

Viewers, who have followed Nicole and Azan’s romance, know the couple called off their wedding and used the $6,000 to open a makeup store. After the premiere of the new season, Nicole did a Q&A session on her Instagram Story and revealed the real reason she and Azan canceled their wedding.

“Plot twist. No store=There was no 6k. Why did we lie? Because we suck at reality TV. IDK. I’m so tired of this show,” she wrote.

When a fan asked Nicole for more details about why she and Azan called off the wedding, the star revealed there were several factors that caused them to reconsider their trip down the aisle. “Here’s the honest truth to this question! WE RUSHED IT BECAUSE OF THE SHOW,” she explained.

“We tried to plan to have the wedding but it needed to be sooner, so we tried to that. Well, that didn’t work. Too much pressure and not enough funds to make it happen fast. It was too fast! I don’t want to feel pressure to marry my best friend. I want to enjoy the process of marrying him.”

Although Nicole stated that TLC didn’t force the couple to come up with a lie, she revealed sharing their lives with the “90 Day Fiancé” cameras has taken a toll on their relationship.

Nicole later told a viewer the show is “toxic” and is hoping to give fans an honest look inside of her relationship with Azan when the couple launches their YouTube page.

“90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?” Season 4 airs Sundays at 8 p.m. EDT on TLC.
