It looks like A$AP Rocky has taken on Brad Pitt’s fashion style. Photos of the “Praise the Lord” rapper rocking a knee-length black leather skirt while shopping in Soho made the rounds online Wednesday, a month after Pitt made headlines when he stepped out in a skirt at the “Bullet Train” premiere in Berlin.

Rocky matched his skirt with a black Givenchy hoodie and a pair of clogs. Photos also show the rapper wearing a pair of black sunglasses and a red cap underneath his hoodie.

While the outing comes after photos of Pitt wearing a skirt set the internet on fire last month, this is actually not the first time the forward-fashion rapper was spotted donning a skirt in public. Back in June 2021, Rocky, who welcomed his first child with Rihanna last May, also modeled a plaid Vivienne Westwood kilt for the cover of GQ Magazine.

Dubbed as the “prettiest man alive” at the time, Rocky explained that he’s not the type who pays attention to the standards of society as to what men should and should not wear. “People weren’t wearing satchels when I came in the game, I can promise you that,” he said in his GQ profile.

“But we were wearing those, because that’s what you trap in. Anything that’s supposed to be considered something to emasculate you, we figured out how to make it macho. The nails, the kilts, the pretty-boy swag, the pearls—I think it’s just being comfortable. I just express myself with fashion, and what’s fly is fly,” he added.

The statement was reminiscent of his 2019 interview in British Vogue, where he reiterated his love for unbounded fashion styles. “I do things that really are appropriate for women: grandma babushkas, painting your nails. I do what the f**k I want. It’s just like, hey, you know? There are no boundaries,” he said at the time.

Wearing a skirt while off-duty is not the only gender-bending style Rocky has sported so far. During his appearance on BET’s “106 & Park” in 2012, Rocky also made headlines when he wore a dip-dyed, dress length Ann Demeulemeester tank.
