The 2015 Academy of Country Music Awards might have broken a Guinness World Record on Sunday night for having the most attendees at a live award show, but despite the Texas-sized event there was one celebrity notably missing from the crowd: Carrie Underwood.

The 32-year-old country crooner opted out of attending the 50th ACM awards, which would have been her first public appearance since giving birth to baby Isaiah Michael Fisher. The “Before He Cheats” singer and her husband Mike Fisher welcomed the arrival of their child on February 27. A few days later on March 3 the new parents shared a photo of their sweet son via Instagram.

“Tiny hands and tiny feet...God has blessed us with an amazing gift! Isaiah Michael Fisher - born on February 27. Welcome to the world, sweet angel!,” the songstress captioned the photo of her baby’s tiny hand.

Although Underwood won’t be present during the exciting, star-studded award show, the 11-time ACM winner will still be honored as she was nominated for three categories during the 2015 award show.

Underwood is up for video of the year, vocal event of the year and the prestigious category of female vocalist of the year. She’ll be competing against Brandy Clark, Kacey Musgraves, Martina McBride and Miranda Lambert for the title.

The 2015 ACM Awards air at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS. Find out how to live stream the event HERE. Check out the full list of nominees HERE.
