A Michigan teen who has been missing since last week has been found dead near her school's football field days after she vanished.

Police found the body of 15-year-old Adriana Davidson, of Ann Arbor, near the football field at Pioneer High School on Monday, three days after she went missing, reported 7 ABC.

"Just before 1:00 p.m. today, the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office K-9 unit located Adriana Davidson near the athletic fields of Ann Arbor Pioneer High School," Washtenaw Sheriff's Office said in a news release.

Davidson's family last saw her boarding a public bus to go to Pioneer High School on Jan.27. The girl did not return home and did not respond to any calls or texts after that.

Based on video obtained from the public bus, officers determined that Davidson came to school on Jan.27 but soon left. She was reportedly last seen in the video coming back to school around noon, but the footage did not show her going inside. The teen girl's friends said she was not feeling well that day.

The sheriff's office said they do not suspect any foul play and that the investigation was in the early stages. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of her death.

"At this early stage, there are no indications of foul play. The Ann Arbor Police Department will be taking over the death investigation as the scene is within city limits. Our sincere condolences go out to the friends and family of Davidson. You remain in our thoughts and prayers," Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office Spokesman Derrick Jackson said.

Jeanice Kerr Swift, superintendent of Ann Arbor Public Schools, expressed condolences to Davidson's family and friends.

"AAPS will continue to work closely in support of both the AAPD and the Sheriff's Department throughout the course of its investigation. We are all deeply saddened by the loss of Adriana. Our sincere and heartfelt condolences go out to Adriana's family, friends, and the Pioneer community," Swift said in a statement.
