Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria stepped out for dinner this week as the actor continues to face the legal ramifications of the "Rust" set tragedy.

The couple was spotted leaving sushi hotspot Bondst in New York City Wednesday night. They dined with Hilaria's hairstylist Jared Riccardi.

In photos obtained by Page Six, Baldwin, 63, and the yoga instructor, 37, dressed up for the outing, with the actor sporting a dark gray suit and black T-shirt and his wife opting for a gray top, black pants, a long black coat and matching leather boots.

The pair returned to New York City a few days ago after staying in Vermont in the wake of the fatal shooting on the New Mexico set of Baldwin's movie "Rust" on Oct. 21, the outlet noted. Baldwin fired a prop gun during a rehearsal, causing the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and wounding director Joel Souza.

Baldwin and his wife's latest outing came shortly after Serge Svetnoy, the chief electrician on the "Rust" set, sued Baldwin, armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, assistant director David Halls and others for negligence over the fatal incident.

Svetnoy alleged in his lawsuit that it was Baldwin's responsibility to double-check the prop gun before using it and that the actor should have handled it like it was loaded and not pointed it toward anyone. He added that Halls should have ensured that the prop gun did not contain live ammunition.

"[Baldwin] owed a duty to [me] and other crew members and actors on the 'Rust' set to handle the Colt Revolver provided to him by defendant Halls with reasonable care and diligence for the safety of 'Rust' cast and crew," a part of Svetnoy's lawsuit read.

The gaffer also alleged that there were not enough crew members because the production wanted to save money and said that additional crew could have helped handle the props and firearms. Furthermore, the production allegedly declined requests for a weapons day training.

Svetnoy claimed he had suffered emotional distress and mental trauma because he was also nearly hit by the bullet. He is demanding unspecified damages and a jury trial.

Hutchins' family has not filed a case against Baldwin as of this writing.

The 42-year-old cinematographer's father, Anatoly Androsovych, said in a statement earlier that he didn't blame the actor for his daughter's death. "We still can't believe Halyna is dead, and her mother is going out of her mind with grief," he wrote. "But I don't hold Alec Baldwin responsible."

Hutchins' husband, Matthew Hutchins, also said that Baldwin contacted him and was "very supportive."

Baldwin has not yet responded to the lawsuit. He previously said he is "extremely interested" in discussions about banning firearms on movie sets.
