Amanda Bynes is not leaving rehab anytime soon. The Hollywood actress is booked to stay in the treatment facility for a long time after her friends expressed their concern that she could die during this stint.

On Friday, a source exclusively revealed to Us Weekly that the “What A Girl Wants” actress is going to celebrate her upcoming birthday in a rehab center and she is bound to remain in the facility for a long time.

“Amanda will be spending her 33rd birthday in treatment and will celebrate on April 3,” the source said, adding that the decision was made because her well-being remains to be a priority.

“She will remain in treatment for several more months. Nothing will be rushed to give Amanda the best possible result after leaving treatment,” the source added.

Bynes entered rehab early this year and just two months after she did a no-holds barred interview with Paper Magazine in which she talked about her depression battle, her drug abuse experiences and how she started smoking pot at the age of 16.

An insider at the time disclosed to Us Weekly that the “She’s The Man” star checked herself into the rehab center because she not comfortable with the “pressure” of being back on the spotlight. The actress reportedly sought help from mental health counselors and addiction specialists.

Earlier this month, Bynes’ close friends opened up about the troubled former child star’s struggles on condition of anonymity. According to them, they fear that Bynes’ latest slip-up could kill her. They also noted how “Amanda can’t seem to handle the media spotlight” and that she might not survive if she continues to abuse herself.

Bynes’ has been in and out of rehab for years and she hasn’t been in the public eye since 2013, the year when she received treatment for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. But then last year, a ray of hope might have shone for the actress because she tried to bounce back and regain her career.

But things went downhill all too quickly that she decided to once again go back to rehab in January. Late last month, a source revealed that the actress was actually very desperate to get back into showbiz before her latest stint, but she’s struggling to leave the house if her life coach wasn’t with her.
