Amazon will be opening a bookstore in New York City, according to the Wall Street Journal. The company plans to open an Amazon Books location near the Time Warner Center on 59th Street.

Amazon Books location in New York City will join three existing store locations including Seattle, Portland and San Diego.

Amazon launched its first Amazon Bookstore location in Seattle in 2015 and has opened two additional locations on the West Coast.

During a shareholder meeting in May, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos said the company is planning to continue its bookstore expansion. "We’re definitely going to open additional stores, how many we don’t know yet," Bezos said at the time. "In these early days, it’s all about learning, rather than trying to earn a lot of revenue."

Amazon is planning to open two more locations in Chicago and Boston this year.

Amazon Books adds the “benefits of offline and online shopping” to help you find books that you’ll love. According to Amazon site the company selects books based on Amazon.com customer ratings.

“We select books based on Amazon.com customer ratings, pre-orders, sales, popularity on Goodreads, and our curators’ assessments. We place books face-out on the shelves, so each can communicate its own essence. Under each book is a review card with the Amazon.com customer rating and a review. Most have been rated 4 stars or above and many are award winners.
