Forget wedding white. Amber Tamblyn opted for something a little different for her nuptials to David Cross over the weekend from a wedding in the woods to a yellow dress.

Thanks to photos from Questlove of The Roots, the newlywed Tamblyn, 29, was escorted by her father Russ Tamblyn to the wedding, where they both walked down the makeshift aisle in the woods wearing no shoes. The dress was a form-fitting gown in a bright yellow hue with cap sleeves, low V-neck and lace detailing complete with a short train. Tamblyn paired the dress with a bright yellow bouquet and flowers in her hair. Cross, 48, however, opted for a traditional tuxedo which he paired with a hunter green v-neck sweater.

In front of 100 guests, which included Questlove as well as Amy Poehler and newlyweds Black Lively and Ryan Reynolds, Tamblyn and Cross said their “I do’s.” The Roots’ drummer shared photos from the event using the hashtag “weddinginthewoods” on Twitter, which also included Cross and Tamblyn’s quirky wedding cake and the bride’s arrival.

"Princess Amber arrives in style," The Roots' drummer tweeted.

Tamblyn and Cross started dating in 2009, despite Cross being nearly 20 years older, and became engaged in August 2011.
