Mother Monster has a fan in “American Horror Story” alum Sarah Paulson. As followers of the FX miniseries know by now, Lady Gaga is joining the show for its fifth season, “Hotel.” And while her casting was only recently announced, it turns out that Paulson knew about the top secret news ahead of time.

“I had a bit of an inkling, because [creator Ryan Murphy] told me, but I kept it a secret,” Paulson dished to Vulture at the Family Equality Council Gala in Beverly Hills Saturday. “I finally said to him the other day, ‘If you don’t announce this soon, I’m going to bust. I’m going to say something!’”

Paulson wasn’t the one to spill the beans though. Last week Lady Gaga posted a video on her Twitter breaking the news about her casting and the title of Season 5.

So far the 28-year-old singer is the only confirmed star for “American Horror Story: Hotel.” Although Murphy previously teased E! Online that Paulson “really loves” her Season 5 character, it’s not official that the vet will be returning. She’s currently linked to another one of Murphy’s projects – “American Crime Story.” Either way, she’s already ecstatic about Lady Gaga’s addition.

“I think nothing in the world could be more exciting,” Sarah Paulson told Vulture. “Really … it’s Lady F---ing Gaga! I mean, come on. It’s amazing.”

“American Horror Story” Season 5 will premiere in October. Filming for “Hotel” is slated to begin in July.
