“American Idol” will no longer be making stops in Texas following Hurricane Harvey.

The announcement was made on Tuesday via the show’s official Twitter account that auditions in Houston and San Antonio on Saturday and Monday will no longer push through. In the post, it was stressed that the safety of the community is what’s most important for the people behind the upcoming ABC reboot.

But those who are still interested in auditioning for the singing reality TV competition may do so in Shreveport on Sept. 4 and New Orleans on Sept. 14. Online applications are also being encouraged, and “American Idol” hopefuls can check the show’s official website for details.

“American Idol” was revived earlier this year, and some networks fought over acquiring the rights for the show. After a few weeks of negotiations, ABC confirmed that they will be releasing new and improved episodes of the show that originally wrapped up on Fox in 2016, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Following ABC’s announcement, “Roar” singer Katy Perry announced that she will be one of the judges in the reboot. The singer will be joined by “American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest, who has been part of the “American Idol” family since it premiered in 2002.

As of late, it is still unclear which singers or producers will be joining Perry on the judges’ panel. Initially, there were talks of “American Idol” Season 1 winner Kelly Clarkson teaming up with the “Dark Horse” singer. However, Clarkson has joined “The Voice” Season 13 as a mentor. “American Idol” contestant Jennifer Hudson has also been cast as a judge in the upcoming season of the hit NBC reality TV show.

Just recently, there were rumors suggesting that Gwen Stefani has left “The Voice” to take part in the “American Idol” reboot. While speaking with E! News last week, Stefani was asked if she would ever jump ship. “That would, like, I don’t know. You never know what could happen. You just never know… but I doubt it,” she replied.

Stefani also expressed her sadness over not being part of Season 13, as well as not working with her boyfriend, Blake Shelton. “I have so much fun on the show… You get really invested in it and it’s emotional,” she said.
