Trent Harmon has been receiving a tremendous amount of support after being announced as the final “American Idol” winner. Many Season 15 contestants have taken to social media to congratulate the Mississippi native and to reflect on the Fox singing competition show coming to an end.

“Guys #AmericanIdol @AmericanIdol is over and it’s so crazy! #IdolFinale to think that I was a part of it… Wow,” Tristan McIntosh tweeted. The country singer then posted a sweet message congratulating Trent on his win.

Gianna Isabella also posted about the finale, tweeting a congratulatory message to both La’Porsha Renae and Trent. In a second tweet she added, “Our FINAL idol winner!! @TrentWHarmon good job brother.” The sweet messages for the new “American Idol” winner didn’t end there. Jeneve Rose Mitchell tweeted that she was happy she got to know Trent during the competition and he deserved the win. “Trent is my good friend and I am so happy to have known him and spent time with him he is a fantastic person. YOU DESERVE THIS @TrentWHarmon,” she posted.

Jordan Sasser shared a funny photo of Trent on Instagram, writing, “CONGRATS ROOMIE!!! @Trent.Harmon.Music: The LAST @AmericanIdol. I found this ONE selfie you texted me & HAD to share. THIS is who you are. Goofy & Awesome. JESUS WAS GLORIFIED THROUGH YOU!!!!! Love you so so much bro.”

Some of the contestants also wrote how sad they were that “American Idol” had aired its last episode, but were grateful they got the opportunity to participate on the show. Dalton Rapattoni, who made it to the Top 3 before getting eliminated, posted on Facebook that it’s been a “crazy” past few months but loved how supportive all his fans have been.

“That’s a wrap! It was amazing to see more and more Nobodies join in our adventure week after week. To all of you that have been here since day one and to all that have joined in along way… I send you ALL my love,” he wrote. “We’ve been through highs and lows together but, at the end of day, the challenges only brought us closer. You’ve always been there to support me and I’ve always been able to count on you when it mattered. As we move forward, please know what you’ve all made me stronger … And as for the future, stay tuned. Big news ahead.”

Contestant Jenn Blosil took to Twitter to thank the Fox show “for everything,” and Kory Wheeler tweeted that he was “grateful” the show gave him a shot. For Shelbie Z., she posted on Twitter that the finale was “bitter sweet.”

“As one chapter come to an end another one begins. Here’s to a new chapter #IdolFinale,” she tweeted, adding, “@TrentWHarmon definitely deserved it. I know he worked his butt off to be there. Congratulations my friend.”
