Gabrielle Union has reportedly been fired from “America’s Got Talent.” The new judge last season expressed her sadness over the network’s decision via social media.

Union also revealed that she was given a clear reason as to why she and her fellow judge, Julianne Hough, were axed from the hit reality TV show. On her Instagram account, Union thanked all of her fans for their support during the difficult time in her career.

And Union’s husband, Dwyane Wade, also took to social media to express his disappointment over NBC’s sudden decision. In his cryptic post, Wade praised his wife for her contributions to the show last season. He also said that a lot of people told him that they started watching “America’s Got Talent” again because of Union.

According to Daily Mail, there are rumors that Union was axed from the upcoming season after she expressed concerns over racially insensitive situations on the show. On one occasion, guests judge Jay Leno reportedly directed a racist joke at Union, but it was edited from the episode.

However, it is still unclear why Hough was axed from the judge’s panel. But she and Union reportedly received excessive notes on their physical appearance, and this didn’t sit well with them.

Meanwhile, Union and Hough’s firing from “America’s Got Talent” came just days after the new cast of “Champions” was announced. And surprisingly, the majority of the returning contestants were from the most recent episode of the hit NBC reality TV show.

Golden buzzer recipients Luke Islam and Tyler Butler-Figueroa will be competing on the show for a chance to bring home $1 million. Other contestants from the previous seasons that will also be returning include Voices of Service, V. Unbeatable, Ryan Niemiller, Quick Style, Connie Talbot, Puddles Pity Party, Mike Yung, Michael Grimm, Marcelito Pomoy, and more.

Heidi Klum will be returning as a judge, and she will also be joined by Alesha Dixon, Simon Cowell, and Howie Mandel.
