Grace Vanderwaal recently proved that girls could also look beautiful and stylish in simple jeans.

On her Instagram account, the 13-year-old “I Don’t Know My Name” singer posted two photos from her recent appearance on Elvis Duran’s morning show, “Z100” (via Just Jared). While there, the Suffern native performed one of her original songs. After her performance, Vanderwaal was photographed in a brown blazer, brown suede boots and jeans.

Other than singing one of her tracks, Vanderwaal also shared to the hosts that she wrote one terrible song about a shadow years before she made it to “America’s Got Talent” Season 11. “I wasn’t always poetic, but when I was little I used to write songs about random things. The worst song was about a shadow underneath my door, I think I still have it somewhere,” she said.

Meanwhile, Vanderwaal released her EP, “Perfectly Imperfect,” last month. But it has just been confirmed by Teen Vogue that she’s already working on a full album. On her Twitter account, one fan asked if Vanderwaal is already working on new music, and she replied by saying that she has already started writing new songs. The young singer is also targeting September for the release of her first LP.

But before her next album release, Vanderwaal treated her millions of fans from all over the world with a cover of Alessia Cara’s hit song, “Scars To Your Beautiful.” After performing the song on “Z100,” Cara herself tweeted Vanderwaal and called her a “star.”

Vanderwaal loves it when she gets encouraging messages from the people that she admires. This is why she also makes it a point to express her gratitude to those who are constantly supporting her. “Most of the time all of the love my fans provide is heart-warming and amazing,” she said.
