Lenovo’s Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus are the first non-Nexus smartphones to update to Android 7.0 Nougat. The manufacturer announced the update on its support page Friday .

The update appears to be international; however, pundits have noted that soak tests were performed on Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus models in Brazil, while details about the Nougat update for devices in India are also available on the Lenovo/Motorola support page. Regional and carrier model updates for the devices should soon follow.

Updating from Android 6.0 Marshmallow, users can expect a plethora of new and improved features on the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus, including quick switch between apps, the power saving ‘Doze on the Go,’ direct reply to notifications and custom quick settings, among many others.

The Android 7.0 update should hit eligible Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus handsets wirelessly and automatically. However, users can check for the update manually by accessing Settings > About phone > Software updates.
