Angelina Jolie was reportedly “heartbroken” and “shattered” over ex Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston getting back together, but there is no evidence supporting this latest rumor about the actress.

A year ago, National Enquirer published a report claiming that Pitt and Aniston were having “secret hookups.” When Jolie discovered it, she was reportedly “shattered” and “heartbroken” over Pitt’s betrayal, so much so that she needed therapy.

The unnamed source also asserted that Pitt and Aniston were back together. The “Ad Astra” actor and "Cake” actress’ reunion reportedly pushed the “Maleficent” star to her “breaking point.” The tabloid further claimed that Jolie was reportedly “totally humiliated” after Pitt reconnected with his first ex-wife, before adding that it was Jolie’s “worst nightmare.”

Gossip Cop has debunked the report, pointing out that the only nightmare was the tabloid’s tale. Pitt and Aniston have been occasionally in contact with each other, but during this time, they had not seen each other face to face or been in the same room together in years.

The premise of Jolie reaching her “breaking point” is also not true because there were no secret hookups in the first place as Pitt and Aniston are not “back together.”

Last month, Pitt and Aniston were seen together for the first time in years when he attended her 50th birthday, but the actor only came as a friend showing his support. However, a number of rumors involving Pitt and Aniston surfaced after their reunion.

Pitt reportedly made a “heartfelt” toast for Aniston which really touched her. Another insider claimed that Pitt and Aniston got married in the middle of her birthday celebration for the second time.

Pitt and Aniston knew that it would be difficult for them to plan a wedding without the details being leaked, so they decided to tie the knot on her birthday party for a double celebration. Gossip Cop has debunked both of these reports.

Just recently, Aniston and Pitt were in the tabloids again for their alleged getaway to Cabo after her birthday. The “Troy” actor reportedly wanted to meet Aniston away from prying eyes so he orchestrated a lavish Mexico vacation for them with the help of her friend, Courteney Cox.

The report was also not true. Pitt and Aniston’s reps both dismissed the story as “fiction.” It’s true that Aniston is in Cabo, but she is with her friend, Cox, and not Pitt. There were no reports about Pitt being in Mexico at the time.
