Angelina Jolie recently reunited with her dad, Jon Voight.

The father and daughter were spotted having dinner together at a sushi restaurant. The “Maleficent” actress was accompanied by four of her six kids — Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 7 — during the outing.

Earlier this week, Voight told E! News that his daughter is doing well amid her ongoing divorce from Pitt. The actress filed for divorce in September after two years of marriage and a total of 12 years of being in a relationship with the actor.

In December, Voight told the same publication that Jolie is doing okay, and she’s holding on. He also previously expressed his desire for Jolie and Pitt to fix their marriage for the sake of their children. “I appreciate everybody’s concern and their prayers. Hopefully things will work out,” he said.

Voight had a close relationship with Pitt. After all, the actor was the one who convinced Jolie to reconcile with Voight after years of being estranged from each other. In 2010, Jolie and Voight finally got the chance to fix their issues.

At the time, Jolie invited her dad to meet her family in Venice, where she was filming “The Tourist.” Following their reunion, Voight told the publication that he had a wonderful time with Jolie, Pitt and their children. “It was a wonderful trip. It was wonderful to be with the family and each of the kids is very special in their own way. And Brad and Angie are wonderful parents, so I had a great time,” he said.

Months later, Voight bonded with Jolie, Pitt and the actress’ brother, James Haven, at the premiere of “Salt.” A source said that Voight and Haven were photographed on the red carpet together before the former decided to go straight to the theater to be with his family. “It was actually really cute how Jon was interacting with Brad and Angelina. Jon arrived with James around 9:45 p.m. and went up to Liev Schreiber, who was sitting with Naomi Watts, to compliment him on his performance. Once Brad and Angie arrived, Jon went back over to their table in the center and started talking with Brad,” the insider said.

Meanwhile, Voight has also bonded with Jolie and Pitt’s children even when their parents weren’t around. In 2011, Shiloh, Zahara and Pax went out for a stroll in London with their grandfather. He was also present at the premiere of “In the Land of Blood and Honey” months later, as well as the premiere of “Maleficent” in 2014.

In other news, Jolie and Pitt are trying their best to remain amicable for the sake of their children. The actor has expressed his desire to co-parent their kids, and in order to prove that he can do so, he has decided to seek counseling and get sober.

A source told Entertainment Tonight that Pitt made the decision for himself and for his kids. “Pitt has worked very hard to get his kids back and the whole family is in a much better place,” the source said.
