Angelina Jolie, 44, and Brad Pitt, 55, shocked their followers with a divorce announcement in September 2016. Many fans look up to them as a “perfect” couple in Hollywood, especially with their successes as artists while being effective parents to their six kids. However, the pair decided to end their marriage two years after exchanging their wedding vows at Chateau Miraval.

In a recent talk with Madame Figaro magazine, Jolie revealed that the decision to divorce was a very complex moment for both of them. The mom of six even revealed that she was not able to recognize herself anymore after breaking up with Pitt. The “Salt” actress added that she had lost herself a bit when her relationship with the “Troy” star was hitting rock bottom.

"I think it was at the end of my relationship with Brad and then when we separated. It was complicated. I didn’t recognize myself anymore, and I’d become, how do I say this, smaller, insignificant, even if I didn’t show it,” Angelina Jolie revealed to the French publication. "I was profoundly, deeply sad. I was hurt. On the other hand, it was interesting to tap into this humility and sense of insignificance," she went on.

Jolie, however, said that the idea of renewal is something that she has to pass onto her children – Maddox, 18, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, Vivienne, 11, and Knox, 11. The “Maleficent” actress, in a previous interview, revealed that she gets her strength from her kids.

In summer, Angelina Jolie, reportedly, got emotional when she dropped Maddox off at college in South Korea. However, Brad Pitt’s former wife and son have seen together again during the premiere of the “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” at the Roppongi Hills arena in Tokyo City, Japan, earlier this month. Also present during the event was her daughter, Zahara.

Reports claimed that Jolie looked so excited to be reunited with Maddox as they posed arm in arm alongside Zahara. At the time, the “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” actress donned a shimmering silver-colored Ralph & Russo Couture while her two children were in all-black outfits. Besides Angelina Jolie, other stars included in the “Maleficent” sequel are Harris Dickinson as Prince Phillip, Ella Fanning as Princess Aurora and Michelle Pfeiffer as Queen Ingrith.
