  • Joe Biden now has his own island in “Animal Crossing”
  • The island has an ice cream stand, a polling station, and model trains
  • Players can get a special Biden campaign shirt to dress their villager in

With the presidential election merely weeks away, former Vice President Joe Biden has taken his campaign to an interesting direction as he now owns an island in “Animal Crossing: New Horizons.”

As one of the biggest video game hits of 2020, “Animal Crossing: New Horizons,” has provided a number of ways for players to personalize their islands. Celebrities like Danny Trejo have done so either as personal escape or form of expression.

The Biden campaign team seems to have noticed this as well and has taken advantage of the game's personalization features to make Biden’s presence felt in the Nintendo Switch title.

In the game, the former senator from Delaware can be seen walking around his field office in what has been labeled as “Biden HQ” and could also be heard shouting out his “no malarkey” campaign slogan if players speak to his character, GameSpot reported.

Greg Miller of Kinda Funny Games hosted the first public showing of Biden Island and it formally debuted on the Kinda Funny Twitch channel on Oct. 16.

Joe Biden yard signs, a field office filled with trains, a polling place with voter information, and an ice cream stand in front of Nook’s Cranny can be found on the island.

Miller was joined by Gary Whitta, host of the in-game talk show “Animal Talking” as they explored Biden’s Island by visiting it with Dream Suite.

"A lot of the residents on the island are dogs, Joe Biden loves dogs," Miller said during the live stream.

Players can visit Biden HQ in “Animal Crossing” by laying down in bed to open the Dream Suite and entering the code DA-7286-5710-7478. Although they won't be able to take anything from the island, they can text “AC” to 30330 to get a special Biden campaign shirt to dress their villager in.

The overall popularity of “Animal Crossing: New Horizons” is undeniable as it even won the prestigious Game of the Year honor at this year's Tokyo Game Show.

No word yet if President Donald Trump will have his own island in the game, but he’ll have to build it quickly since Nov. 3 is fast approaching.
