“Scary Movie” star Anna Faris wasn’t ready to say “I do” the first time she walked down the aisle. While most might assume she’s talking about “Jurassic World” star Chris Pratt, the funny lady was referring to her first marriage to Ben Indra. Faris opened up about what it was like to be married to the lesser-known actor in her memoir, “Unqualified.”

“It would be easy to say that my first marriage was a mistake,” she wrote, according to Radar Online. “It ended in divorce, so clearly it wasn’t the best decision I ever made. But when I look back on that relationship, it barely seems real.”

When their relationship started to blossom, so did Faris’ career. She had just landed her famous role in “Scary Movie,” and her rise to stardom didn’t jive well with dating someone new.

“I was so dizzy with the idea of doing a movie and getting a gig, it never occurred to me that this moment of success could have a negative impact on what was then a budding relationship,” Faris, 40, explained.

Indra proposed marriage twice. When she refused his first proposal, it caused a major rift in the relationship. So when he asked again, Faris “certainly felt like I had to say yes.” She added: “I also felt like I didn’t have the time or the courage to be single in Los Angeles.”

Looking back, Faris saw on the flaws in the relationship. They never discussed their future together, for one. She’s still confused about why she chose to commit to Indra when there were so many problems between them.

“We obviously weren’t ready for marriage, at least not to each other. I’ve often tried to understand my rationale for getting married the first time, because it does seem baffling to commit to a lifelong relationship when there are so many glaring problems,” the “Mom” actress explained. “I still wonder why I did that, and I don’t fully have the answers and I don’t know if I ever will.”

While Faris was more famous than her first husband, there was a major shift when she married second husband Chris Pratt. Even though she started out as a television star on “Parks and Rec,” his career surpassed that of Faris, landing roles in Hollywood blockbusters like “Guardians of the Galaxy,” “Jurassic World,” and “Passengers,” which co-starred A-list superstar Jennifer Lawrence.

She remembered telling Pratt how his celebrity affected her.

“I’m so thrilled and grateful that you are doing the things you are, and I have crazy pride in the fact that your talents are recognized, but it can be hard not to have a moment of self-doubt when my husband is acting with young women in big movies and I’m playing a role in Mom that, while I love it, is incredibly unsexy,” the mother of 4-year-old Jack wrote.

Faris announced her separation from Pratt in August after 8 years of marriage. Since the split, Faris was linked to Michael Barrett, but she didn’t confirm the rumored relationship.
