The main antagonist in "Ant-Man," Darren Cross/Yellowjacket, will be a “real loser,” says the actor who plays him. In a recent conversation with Cinema Blend, Corey Stoll revealed the details about his character and what drew him to the role.

“When I first auditioned for Darren Cross, what I really connected to was to the humor of the role, and that there was this really … he’s a real loser! He is really the least cool person on the planet, and he wants to be Tony Stark. He wants to be the coolest guy in the world,” he said.

Stoll’s character will be the CEO of Cross Technologies, and being the former protégé of Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) will plan replicate Ant-Man technology. “He’s got this shell being a CEO with these power suits, and you know - he’s a real winner on the outside, but he's still this little scared little nerd,” he said.

Cross’ super suit, Yellowjacket, will be reportedly be a more militaristic version of Ant-Man suit. In the comics, Yellowjacket gives its owner superhuman strength and the ability to size-shift from microscopic to gigantic level, to transfer the size-shifting ability to other objects, generate bio-stings and fly with the help of grated wings.

Stoll’s costume has been created using motion capture in "Ant-Man." Peyton Reed directed the film and it stars Paul Rudd in the title role. It will revolve around his character Scott Lang, who will plot a heist against evil forces after becoming the Ant-Man. The cast also includes Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, Tip "T.I." Harris, Wood Harris, Judy Greer and David Dastmalchian. It opens on Friday in 3D and IMAX 3D. Kevin Feige is the producer.
