Anthony Weiner Live Stream: NYC Mayoral Candidate Addresses Carlos Danger And Lewd Photos
Anthony Weiner is in the hot seat once again after more lewd photos of his unmentionables surfaced after he just rebooted his career with a campaign for New York City mayor. The politician was to speak to the press Tuesday afternoon, and as if his reputation couldn’t get any more tarnished, it was revealed he was sexting under the pseudonym “Carlos Danger.”
For those who don’t have access to television, Politico is providing live stream footage of the conference: click here.
Weiner, 48, who married Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin three years ago, has one child. After Nik Richie of “The Dirty” broke the news on his gossip website Tuesday, the New York politician issued a statement before the press conference:
"As I have said in the past, these things that I did were wrong and hurtful to my wife and caused us to go through challenges in our marriage that extended past my resignation from Congress," he said in his statement.
"While some things that have been posted today are true and some are not, there is no question that what I did was wrong. This behavior is behind me."
He added that he had already apologized to Abedin and that he was "grateful that she has worked through these issues with me and for her forgiveness." He said they are "focused on moving forward."
New Yorkers were willing to give Weiner a second chance, but it’s not clear if they will be willing to give him a third. Until today, he was ahead in the polls. But there’s no telling how this latest scandal will affect his chances of becoming mayor.
Weiner was first caught for sending naked pictures in 2011 when he accidentally posted them to his public Twitter account. At first he said he was hacked, but later admitted to posting the images.
