Apple's iOS 14.3 Release Candidate is here and can now be downloaded by developers and public beta testers who enrolled in Apple’s respective programs. The new version brings a slew of new features not found in earlier releases and is designed to give users the best iOS experience yet.

The Release Candidate version of iOS 14.3 comes months after the iOS 14.2 golden master build. Apple said it is moving away from the “golden master” naming scheme and will instead use “Release Candidate,” or “RC,” to indicate near-final builds.

This latest version includes new features, support for some new software and hardware and fixes for some issues.

Here’s a quick look at some of the things the iOS 14.3 RC brings, according to the release notes (via 9To5Mac):

AirPods Max

The iOS 14.3 RC adds support for Apple’s new high-end over-ear headphones, the AirPods Max. The new operating system version allows users to maximize their $549 wireless headphones, making for a pricey audio experience.

Apple Fitness+

Apple’s new health-related offering, Fitness+, comes with iOS 14.3. The new subscription service will be available for Apple Watch and iOS users in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, United Kingdom and the U.S.

Apple TV app

The iOS 14.3 RC version offers improved search features to let users find their shows, movies and channels easier. A new Apple TV+ tab also makes it easier to enjoy the service’s offerings.

Photos

Apple is adding support for the new Apple ProRAW picture format on the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. Users will be able to edit pictures in this format using the Photos app.

Moreover, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone SE, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X users will also be able to mirror the front-facing camera for still photos.

Privacy

Users will now find a new section in the App Store where developers disclose what kind of information their apps collect.

The new iOS 14.3 Release Candidate includes more features and enhancements such as air quality data for various places in the Weather app, improvements and new additions to the Cycle Tracking feature in the Health app and the new Ecosia search engine option in the Safari app, among others.
