Apple plans to release another iPhone that will cost people less than $1,000 dollars this year, a report claimed.

Apple is expected to release successors to the current flagships that it has on the market. One of these models is the follow-up to the lower-priced iPhone XR which was a hit among many users. Here are some of the things people can expect about the iPhone XR 2.

Price

First, like the iPhone XR, the iPhone XR 2 (or iPhone 11R) is expected to sell at a price that’s considerably lower than the cost of buying the successors to the iPhone XS and XS Max (or iPhone 11 and 11 Max). This means it is likely to sell for less than #$1,000 when it is released, the Business Insider noted.

Bigger display

According to noted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo (via 9To5Mac), the successor to the iPhone XR is expected to feature a 6.1-inch LCD display. This display is expected to feature the same notch that current models have.

Dual Camera Setup

The iPhone XR had one rear camera. The successor is believed to have an upgraded camera setup at the back, this time with two lenses. It’s unclear as to what cameras these will be, but fans shouldn’t expect the iPhone XR successor to have cameras similar to the iPhone XS and XS Max successors.

Bigger Battery

Recent reports indicated that the iPhone XR successor will have a bigger battery compared to the one found in the iPhone XR. The new battery will be5% larger than the previous one at 3,110 mAh, and although that might sound small compared to other batteries, it is expected to last longer than 15 hours on a single charge -- which is what the iPhone XR is capable of.

More Colors

Apple played with colors in the iPhone XR, making it available in six colors: black, white, blue, yellow, red and coral. Previous reports said Apple is taking the same route and plans to introduce the iPhone XR successor in six colors as well. These colors, however, are softer and more pastel-like than the ones the iPhone CR came in. What’s more, two of them are new: green and lilac, replacing blue and coral.

Apple hasn’t announced the 2019 iPhone lineup yet. Stay tuned for more details.
