Arnold Schwarzenegger officially inaugurated his own museum in his hometown of Thal, Austria on Friday.

The action star, bodybuilder and former California governor was joined by his son Patrick, along with hundreds of fans and members of the media.

The museum, which has actually been opened to the public since July, is also the two-story village house where Schwarzenegger was born 64 years ago.

At the inauguration, the Terminator star unveiled a large bronze statue of himself in a bodybuilding pose.

For me, this is not only a museum . . . it is also a symbol of will . . . everyone has a chance, Schwarzenegger told reporters.

The collection showcases several personal items, including weight-training equipment, his first bed, movie props and a life size figure of a younger Schwarzenegger.
