Ashley Tisdale has opened up about the horrible experience she went through after getting a nose job more than a decade ago.

In a Thursday post on her Frenshe website, the "High School Musical" alum revisited the scrutiny she faced after she got rhinoplasty, which had been recommended by her doctor, explaining that it was brought up again in a recent interview. She shared that she underwent the procedure to correct a health issue, but she said she was judged and slammed at the time for going under the knife.

"It was a very traumatic experience for me and it makes me very emotional to this day," she wrote.

Tisdale shared that she had rhinoplasty 15 years ago, but it "didn’t feel like THAT big of a deal" at the time as she made the decision due to her health issues.

"To be clear, it was not about changing my appearance," she said. "After several doctor’s visits about my health issues, they also suggested shaving my 'bump' down. I was young and didn’t put much thought into it, so I decided, why not? It wasn’t a big deal to me nor was it like I was dreaming of the day I’d get a nose job."

"On the other hand, I have ZERO judgment towards anyone who does look forward to that day—your body, your choice," the "Phineas and Ferb" alum continued.

For her, the hardest part was not the recovery but the reports that painted her as someone who was unhappy with her appearance. Contrary to what was previously reported, Tisdale said she loves herself and has always been proud of who she was.

"Plastic surgery wasn’t culturally accepted then like it is now. When I got it done I was scrutinized, judged, and made to feel ashamed over my decision. I made a decision that was no one’s business (and is STILL no one’s business) and for that decision, I was constantly made to feel bad about it," she added.

Tisdale is pregnant and expecting her first child with husband Christopher French. In October, she didn't hide her excitement about her upcoming baby. In her new post, she also wrote that unlike her own experience, she hopes her daughter's choices "aren’t met with judgment or shame" in the future.
