Despite the lack of confirmation from Ubisoft, rumors claim that the “Assassin’s Creed 2020” will be officially called “Assassin’s Creed: Ragnarok.” It appears that recent product listings bearing this name further sparked rumors surrounding the game. Recent product listings by GameStop Italy and Amazon Germany, which are now removed, support rumors that the game might be officially called “Assassin’s Creed: Ragnarok.”

This year, the first product listing of “Assassin’s Creed 2020” is leaked on the Amazon Germany site. The official website lists “Assassin’s Creed: Ragnarok” as an upcoming game releasing on the PlayStation 4 with Standard, Gold, and Valhalla editions. The listing also included the Mjolnir Edition of the game.

The listing is already taken down, but Metro was able to take a screenshot of the “Assassin’s Creed: Ragnarok” listing. Speculations about the “Assassin’s Creed 2020” with Vikings setting have been making rounds since last year, but Ubisoft has not said anything about this. In other words, nothing is official about “Assassin’s Creed 2020” at this point.

Another “Assassin’s Creed: Ragnarok” listing was spotted in GameStop Italy. However, eagle-eyed fans on Reddit noticed that the image was photoshopped and bore the same number as “Watch Dog Legions.” As for the official release window of “Assassin’s Creed 2020,” nothing is revealed yet, although rumors have it that the game will release this year.

Earlier speculations claimed that “Assassin’s Creed 2020” might release on next-generation gaming consoles, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. Speculations surfaced following Ubisoft’s confirmation that it will delay the release of some of its upcoming titles to optimize them for next-generation gaming consoles. While game listing on official sites appears interesting, we suggest to take it with a pinch of salt.

In the past, some of these listings are proven fake. While the Vikings setting of “Assassin’s Creed 2020” seems appealing and aligns with some leaks, at this point, it is purely speculation. There is a chance that the upcoming title from Ubisoft might have a totally different setting. Hopefully, Ubisoft will release “Assassin’s Creed 2020” sooner than anticipated. “Assassin’s Creed 2020” or “Assassin’s Creed: Ragnarok” is currently in the works for unspecified gaming platforms.
