South Korean band ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo talked about his fans, upcoming drama, and his co-star during an interview.

The singer turned actor was recently featured as the cover model of 'Esquire' magazine’s September issue. The magazine deals with components of men’s fashion and lifestyle.

Cha Eun Woo was professional, elegant, classy, and handsome throughout the photoshoot and pulled off various luxurious fashion styles. During his interview that followed later, the singer talked about his appreciation for his fans and expressed his excitement for his upcoming drama "True Beauty."

The 23-year-old was recently confirmed to star in the drama adaptation of the popular webtoon titled "True Beauty" along with actress Moon Ga Young.

"It really spoke to my heart when I saw fans commenting, 'I'm always on your side'. There's a strength that comes from the word 'always'," he said while expressing his views on the love and support received from his fans, according to Allkpop.

Cha Eun Woo plays the role of Lee Su Ho, an ideal and perfect man with strikingly good looks, excellent academic records, and good basketball skills. However, he hides a scar in his heart and is not interested in others.

Meanwhile, actress Moon Ga Young who has previously acted in television dramas such as "Heartstrings," "EXO Next Door," and "Tempted" will be portraying the character of Im Joo Kyung, a girl who is insecure about her appearance and depends on makeup to appear beautiful.

"I've read the script of 'True Beauty' multiple times, because it was really entertaining. I always laugh at the same part even though I've read it already," said Eun Cha Woo when sharing his thoughts on his new upcoming drama.

Talking about his chemistry with his on-screen partner, the actor added that he’s looking forward to the synergy between the two as he previously went to the same school as Moon Ga Young.

"Noona is so good at acting out her character Joo Kyung, she's so experienced. I've known her since before because we are alumni from the same school, so I think I can call her 'Sunbaenim~' and we will be able to work well together," he added.

According to Soompi, "True Beauty" will be directed by Kim Sang Hyub, who has previously worked on projects like "The King Loves" and "Extraordinary You." The drama is expected to air sometime towards the end of 2020.
