  • Ayesha said she and her husband "hold each other up" and "hold each other accountable"

Ayesha Curry is opening up about her marriage and family life with her husband Steph Curry ahead of their 10th wedding anniversary in July.

Ayesha, 32, recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight at Sweet July, her newly opened boutique store and café in Oakland, California, about a wide variety of topics, including her new venture and her relationship with the NBA superstar, with whom she shares three kids, daughters Riley, 8, and Ryan, 5, and son Canon, 2.

She revealed that she and Steph are each other's rock, and they continue to push each other during difficult times a decade after they tied the knot in July 2011.

"We're celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary this summer, so like -- we've grown up together, in every sense of the word," Ayesha told ET of Steph. "My support is his support, vice versa. It's like we hold each other up. We hold each other accountable. And when I have those days where I feel like I want to give up, he is always there to be like, 'Nope! Put on your clothes.'"

The cookbook author also shared how the pandemic helped her realize an important factor in their relationship. According to the mom of three, she and the Golden State Warriors star reconnected during the lockdown.

"We said in the pandemic, you really learn if you like somebody or not," Ayesha continued. "I said, 'Ooh, we really like each other. This is good.' We've done a lot, obviously, of date nights in and we've had new ways to reinvent date night. For us, it’s very important just as a time to reconnect."

Being parents of three young children, Ayesha said they "have our hands full." She described their oldest child Riley as "very nurturing" to their youngest child, Canon, and said the pair have become best friends. She joked that their second child Ryan "tries to love on him," but he's "not feeling it."

Ayesha also shared that their family normally bonds in the kitchen and often leaves "a mess," but she has no problem with it.

"They love everything about it. I mean, they're in there when I'm not making a mess of everything. I get so upset, I'm like, 'What? You cannot ... stop baking cakes in the microwave.' Like, 'I know you saw this on YouTube, but, like, let's just stop.' They're so creative and experiment. I just love it, most days," she said of their family activities.

In October 2020, Ayesha shared how she lost 35 pounds during the quarantine. She revealed that she starts her day with a coffee with ghee and coconut oil blended.

Ayesha also said she drinks 32 ounces of water before noon and flavors it with cucumber and lemon. When it comes to diet, she prefers portion control over other techniques.

"[I] try to stick to nourishing, delicious food in moderation," she shared. "I keep track of the food I’m putting into my body through the Fitbit app on my phone and the calories toward my daily goal are at a glance on my watch."
