Social media users are expressing their concerns over Azealia Banks who shocked her fans by posting alarming messages about “ending her tenure on Earth” on her official Instagram account.

On Saturday, the 29-year-old musician took to Instagram Stories and shared a series of baffling messages that worried her thousands of followers. She started by writing that the “constant public ridicule” is making her life hard and taking her to a point where she is thinking of her ending her life.

“Yea, I think I'm done here. This pandemic, extreme lack of social interaction, no intimacy, combined with constant public ridicule is making life harder than its worth. I think I will end my tenure here on earth soon," Banks wrote.

Later in the post, the “Big Big Beat” hitmaker shared that she is “not begging” for attention or asking for any kind of sympathy. The songwriter also noted that she will document her final moments and release a film for all her fans. She feels that her “soul is tired” and is “ready to go.”

"I'm not begging for attention or asking for sympathy/empathy. I'm just ready to go. Peacefully of course. I will document my last times and release a film for you all to finally understand me, from my perspective. My soul is tired. I'm ready to go,” Banks added.

Banks also shared an audio clip in which she can be heard saying that she’s looking for “voluntary euthanasia options.”

According to Health Line, "euthanasia" is a process used in "deliberately ending someone's life, ususally to relieve suffering."

The posts went viral on social media and a plethora of netizens came forward to voice their support to Banks. Many users prayed for her safety while others wanted her closed ones to provide help for her deteriorating condition.

“I pray for Azealia Banks. She's never been given the same grace and that can become exhausting for anyone ,” @callmedollar commented.

“Just saw why Azealia Banks is trending and I'm praying someone close to her gets her some help before she harms herself. Black women are afforded little to no grace when dealing with mental health challenges and she certainly deserves our support ,” another user wrote.

“I really hope that Azealia Banks is covered/protected at this moment. Black women with mental illness genuinely do not get the same grace/empathy as others do. She deserves a healthy life where she doesn’t feel this pain,” @TheCourtKim stated.

“I hope Azealia Banks has some love around her right now. She supremely talented & despite the things she’s said, she’s still deserving of grace & sympathy,” another netizen wrote on the micro-blogging website.

“Send positive thoughts to Azealia Banks please. female artists should be allowed to be complicated & imperfect. a lot of us struggle w mental health, come from trauma & are just trying to do our best. even more so as a Black woman, she deserves grace. I love u Azealia,” @Kaliuchis commented.

Meanwhile, one user said that anyone threatening to commit “suicide” on social media is a cry for help and people should help them without thinking what their “public perception” is.

In one of her Instagram stories, Banks also wrote that she needs some “time and space” to figure some things out and try to get “whatever is inside out.”

The “Chasing Times” singer also noted that she doesn’t want to be someone that people “continue to make fun of” anymore.
