ABC is concerned with “The Bachelor” Matt James’ mental health after he jokingly tweeted about needing to find a therapist on Tuesday after thousands of Americans told him to find one after Monday’s finale episode.

Matt’s season finale, and the whole season, didn’t go as planned and many viewers are even talking about boycotting the show due to the poor execution from ABC and “The Bachelor” himself.

After breaking up with Rachael Kirkconnel for her alleged racist past, many compared him to his estranged dad and believed he was using this excuse to get out of a relationship he wasn’t ready for. Therefore, he received many recommendations to go find a therapist in his area.

The tweet apparently "set off alarm bells" ABC, a production source said. “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” does provide resources for contestants and cast members, according to TMZ.

The network has explained that it’s there if he really needs or wants help.

Matt hasn't reacted to any of the tweets nor has he given any details about the state of his mental health.
