The 2015 season of “The Bachelorette” with Kaitlyn Bristowe is almost over and that means fans of the ABC reality show are already thinking about the star of “The Bachelor.” It’s customary for the series to choose an eliminated cast member from the previous season, and all signs are pointing to Ben Higgins as the leading man.

Dreamy Ben H., who resembles Lady Gaga’s fiancé Taylor Kinney, won fans over from the start with his sweet and kind behavior. While other contestants were stirring up trouble in the house, Ben H. kept things cool and respectful. But that’s not the reason why he’s a frontrunner for Season 20 of “The Bachelor” … Kaitlyn actually said that she thinks he would make a great “Bachelor.”

“I think he’s just a well-rounded and solid guy who knows what he wants,” Kaitlyn told People magazine (via OK! Magazine). “Even though he is only 26 I feel like he’s a very mature 26. He is such a gentleman. He’s a really, really, really, solid guy and he’s extremely handsome.”

While a glowing recommendation from a former star is always a bonus for someone vying to become the next lead of “The Bachelor,” the issue is that he has yet to be eliminated from her season. So far the competition is down to Ben H., Shawn B. and Nick. Although Ben H. is going into the highly anticipated overnight date, it’s clear that he’s not the strongest contender for Kaitlyn’s heart – especially since she never told him about her passionate night with Nick. Many fans are anticipating the Colorado software salesman getting eliminated during episode 9 … which would set him up perfectly for “The Bachelor.”

The ABC reality show franchise has been keeping a pattern the last couple of seasons in choosing the third runner up as the next star. Kaitlyn was the third runner up on Chris Soules’ season of “The Bachelor,” while Chris Soules was the third runner up on Andi Dorfman’s season of “The Bachelorette.” Andi Dorfman was the third runner up on Juan Pablo’s season of “The Bachelor” until she eliminated herself after the “nightmare” Fantasy Suite date.
