Barcelona transfer moves could become complicated as players bound to leave the club are reportedly happy to stay at Camp Nou.

Every year, Barcelona is one of the clubs who are always linked to transfer rumors. And this summer is no different for the Catalan club. After news broke that Barca is putting almost half of their roster up for sale, the assumption is that the LaLiga giants are now preparing for a busy market. One of most talked about transfers involving Barcelona is Lautaro Martinez of Inter Milan. However, in order to sign players, Barca also have to release some.

Barcelona is indeed one of the most successful clubs in the world. Compared to other clubs, the Catalans find it less harder to sign players as most of their prospects have been dreaming of playing at Camp Nou. However, according to a recent report from AS (via Besoccer.com), Barcelona is currently facing transfer problems and it’s not because prospects don’t want to sign with them. Instead, the club is reportedly finding it hard to release players as most of them are “happy to stay” at Camp Nou.

At the peak of the lockdown, Barcelona have made things clear regarding which players they can count on and those who are dispensable. But reports claimed that many of the Barca players who had been listed transferable don't even think about leaving the club. It was said that some want to stay because they are happy with the team while others want to compete for a place in the starting 11.

One of the players mentioned in the report was Arturo Vidal, the team’s midfielder, who has made it clear that he wants to stay in Barcelona for a longer period of time.

Centre-back Clément Lenglet also said that he hopes to continue representing Barca in the 2020-21 season. Midfielder Ivan Rakitic, on the other hand, could be remembered saying he would only consider leaving Camp Nou if it is for another LaLiga club, Sevilla.

As for the possible signings, Barcelona are currently linked to several players across Europe. Ajax defender Sergiño Dest is said to be “occasionally” monitored by the Catalans. However, Dest recently teased that he’s already Barcelona bound. On his official social media account, the 19-year-old posted a photo in which he could be seen wearing a Barcelona hoodie.

Dest has played 35 matches with 27 starts. He has already scored two goals and completed five assists in his first impressive season in the Eredivisie.
