“Bates Motel” fans will get the chance to bid farewell to Norman (Freddie Highmore) and Norma (Vera Farmiga) in the half-hour “Bates Motel” special, “The Check Out,” which will air immediately after the series finale of the A&E series.

According to Deadline, Highmore, Farmiga and Nestor Carbonell — who plays Alex on the “Psycho” prequel series — are all set to appear in the special. Creators and executive producers Kerry Ehrin and Carlton Cuse will also be present in the special to join the cast in answering fan questions sent in via social media.

In addition to interviews, the cast and producers are expected to reminisce about their experiences while making the series. Behind-the-scenes clips and bloopers will also be featured throughout the program, which will air on Monday, April 24 from 11:04 p.m. to 11:34 p.m. EST on A&E.

While details about the series finale are being kept under wraps, Ehrin recently told Variety last month that Season 5 ended up where she always intended. “It was very much about answering the end of last season,” she said of how the series will conclude. “What does a world look like that you’re completely conjuring up out of your own body and energy and brain? Our goal is to tell a real story about someone who believes he’s living with his mother and when in fact the mother is dead, but make her real so that you care about the relationship. Just as he would.”

Also in February, Yahoo TV asked Ehrin to give one word for what she thinks fans’ reactions will be when they see the final scene of the series, and she replied that fans will likely curse out loud from the shocking ending.

“Bates Motel” series finale (Season 5, episode 10) airs on Monday, April 24 at 10 p.m. EST on A&E.
