Billie Lourd’s Celebrity Friends Are Surprised By Her Baby Announcement, Just Like Fans

Billie Lourd is officially a mom—even though no one—including her celebrity friends-- knew the “American Horror Story” actress was even pregnant.

Lourd took to Instagram Thursday to announce the arrival of a baby boy, Kingston Fisher Lourd Rydell, her first child with fiance Austyn Rydell. Not only did the actress appear to honor her late mother, Carrie Fisher, with her son’s middle name, but she also managed to take more than just fans by surprise with the post, as several celebs also commented on the post to express congratulations and surprise over the news.

Among those expressing surprise were several of her co-stars, including Emma Roberts, whom she starred in both “Scream Queens” and “American Horror Story” with. Roberts is currently pregnant with her own first child, a boy, with Garrett Hedlund.

“Screaming!!! Love you guys so much,” she wrote.

Two of her “Booksmart” co-stars also chimed in, expressing surprise over the news.

“YOURE [EXPLETIVE] ME,” Nico Hiraga wrote.

“WHATT!!!!!! OH MY GOD BILLIE YES WOW AUSTYN WOW!! CONGRATS YOU GUYS,” Diana Silvers added.

Her news also seemed to surprise other celebrities, who also quickly congratulated her after sharing their surprise.

“Oh my goodness congratulations!!! So happy for you lovely,” Rumer Willis wrote.

“Oh my goodness!!! Congratulations!!” Rachel Zegler said.

Lourd also received congratulations from Rosanna Arquette, who mentioned both Fisher and Lourd’s grandmother, Debbie Reynolds, who died just one day after her daughter in 2016.

“Oh my God. Blessings to you,” she wrote with a series of emojis. “angels surround you both especially mama Carrie and grandma.”

Of course, while the news of her baby was seemingly a surprise to many, the pregnancy wasn’t entirely hidden. While Lourd didn’t post any images that showed off her belly, a post announcing her engagement that Rydell made in June actually briefly showed his fiancee’s pregnant belly.

In the post, which was comprised of photos and videos, he and Lourd can be seen wearing masks and walking near a passing train, At one point, Lourd’s belly can be seen and clearly shows a small bump.
