Blackpink on Sunday became the first K-pop group to surpass 50 million subscribers on YouTube. The band’s first full-length studio album titled "The Album" dominated the world’s largest music platforms including Spotify and iTunes.

The South Korean girl group released the digital version of its first full-length album titled "The Album" consisting of eight songs along with the music video of its title track "Lovesick Girls" on Friday. The album made a remarkable entry on Spotify’s Global Chart, iTunes Top Album chart, and more.

On Saturday, the band's latest album made it to the No.1 spot on iTunes Top Album charts in at least 57 different international regions including the United States, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Canada, Brazil, and Mexico.

The album’s title track "Lovesick Girls" debuted at No.3 on Spotify’s Global Chart. Additionally, all the songs in "The Album" also successfully ranked within the top 25 on the list with half of them being in the top 10, according to Allkpop.

Moreover, the K-pop girl group's latest single and music video titled "Lovesick Girls" set a new YouTube record by becoming the fastest music video by a South Korean girl group to reach 10 million views. It achieved the milestone within 53 minutes of its initial release.

"Lovesick Girls" also crossed 100 million views on YouTube on Monday, making it the band's 10th music video to achieve the feat, as reported by Soompi.

The other songs by Blackpink that have crossed 100 million views on YouTube are "Boombayah," "Whistle," "Playing with Fire," "Stay," "As If It’s Your Last," "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du," "Kill This Love," "How You Like That," and "Ice Cream."

Blackpink also made history as the first and only female act, and the first K-pop group to surpass 50 million subscribers on its official YouTube channel. Blackpink is now ranked as the second most subscribed music artist on YouTube. American singer Justin Bieber is leading the list with over 57 million subscribers.

Meanwhile, the physical version of Blackpink’s "The Album" is scheduled to release on Oct. 6.
