Blackpink’s Rosé who recently kickstarted her solo career has set two new Guinness World Record titles with her debut single "On The Ground."

Roseanne Park, popularly known as Rosé, recently made her solo debut with the album "R" which was released on March 12. The album consisted of two tracks including its lead track "On The Ground" and the B-side track "Gone."

The official music video for "On The Ground" was released on YouTube on March 12. The video gained over 41.6 million views within the first 24 hours of its premiere.

On April 9, Guinness World Records announced that the MV had been officially recognized as the most-viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours by a solo K-pop artist.

The record was previously held by South Korean artist Psy with over 36 million views for his globally popular track "Gangnam Style" which was released in 2012.

The album made an impressive debut on both international and domestic charts. Her single "On The Ground" which is sung entirely in English debuted at number 1 spot on Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart and Global 200 chart on March 27.

In October 2020, the songstress had topped the Global Excl. U.S. chart with Blackpink’s super hit single "Lovesick Girls."

The Korean-New Zealand singer now has two songs that are placed No. 1 on Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart. This makes her the first artist to reach No.1 on a Billboard Global chart as a soloist and as part of a group.

Guinness World Records congratulated the singer on her astonishing achievements through a post on their official website.

"Congratulations to Rosé on her incredible achievement - who knows, this may just be the start of her record-breaking solo career!" it reads.

In addition to that, Rosé had also broken the record for the highest-ranking achieved by a female K-pop soloist on Billboard's Hot 100 chart as "On the Ground" debuted No. 70. The single had also dominated the iTunes Top Songs charts in at least 51 regions when it was initially released.

Rosé unveiled a gentle, emotional side of herself through the music video for "Gone" which was released on Blackpink's official YouTube channel on April 5.

35. Rosé is left-handed - This is according to Jisoo. This could be the reason why Roseanne Park, born on February 11, 1997, is really creative! Some studies show left-handed people, with their right brain being more dominant, are much more creative. No wonder her hobbies include playing guitar and drawing.
