Blackpink’s Rosé becomes the highest-ranking female K-pop soloist on Billboard's Hot 100 with her debut single "On The Ground."

Roseanne Park, popularly known as Rosé, made her entry on the Billboard's Hot 100 as a soloist for the first time with her hit single "On The Ground" which debuted at No. 70.

According to an announcement from Billboard, "On The Ground" debuted on the Billboard’s Hot 100 chart for the week ending March 27. With this, Rosé successfully set the record for the highest-ranking achieved by a female K-pop soloist in Billboard history.

Previously, South Korean rapper and singer Lee Chae-Rin, better known by her stage name as CL, held the record with her single "Lifted" which had debuted at the No.94 spot on the list. CL also holds the record for becoming the first Korean female soloist to chart on the Hot 100. The rapper was the only female soloist to rank on the Hot 100 list until now, as per Soompi.

Rosé, 25, recently made her solo debut with the album "R" which was released on March 12. The highly anticipated album consisted of two tracks -- the lead track "On The Ground" and the B-side track "Gone."

"On The Ground" also debuted at the No.1 spot on Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart and Global 200 chart.

However, this is not the first time the songstress has made it to the Billboard rankings as she had previously charted on the Hot 100 numerous times with her band Blackpink. The world-renowned K-pop girl group’s highest track record on the Hot 100 is at No.13 which was achieved with their single "Ice Cream" in collaboration with American singer Selena Gomez.

Rosé also set a new record with "R" by achieving the highest sales reached by a Korean female soloist in its first week of release. "On The Ground" also made an impressive entry on Spotify's Global Top 50 chart by debuting at No.8 whereas, "Gone" debuted at No. 11.

To add to that, "On The Ground" also grabbed the No.1 spot on iTunes Top Songs charts in at least 51 regions following its release, and the music video for the song got an impressive 39 million views within 24 hours of its premiere.

Rosé had trained under YG entertainment for four years before she officially made her debut as the vocalist of Blackpink in August 2016.

35. Rosé is left-handed - This is according to Jisoo. This could be the reason why Roseanne Park, born on February 11, 1997, is really creative! Some studies show left-handed people, with their right brain being more dominant, are much more creative. No wonder her hobbies include playing guitar and drawing.
