‘Blindspot’
How will Rich Dotcom (Ennis Esmer) impact the FBI team in “Blindspot” Season 3? NBC

“Blindspot” Season 3 will see the return of Rich Dotcom (Ennis Esmer), and he will be working closely with Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) and the entire FBI team.

But according to Entertainment Weekly, Rich Dotcom will also have a surprise connection with another character from the NBC series. Details about the link are still being kept under wraps, but there are speculations that he may hook up with one of the female characters.

The obvious choice are Zapata (Audrey Esparza) or Patterson (Ashley Johnson) since they are the only two other female characters in the team. Jane may also be a prospect, but she’s already in a relationship with Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton).

However, it is also worth noting that “Blindspot” Season 3 will feature an 18-month time-jump at the beginning of the series. This means that Jane and Rich may also hook up after Jane ends her relationship with Kurt (Sullivan Stapleon). After all, anything can happen on a show such as this.

Last week, “Blindspot” co-executive producer Alex Berger also opened up about Rich being in FBI custody. “Rich Dotcom, not-so-thrilled to be back in his prison garb, tries to sweet talk a skeptical Jane,” he says of the two characters’ photo inside the interrogation room.

In the second photo exclusively released by Entertainment Weekly, Rich Dotcom and Jane are on the field working on case. Jane is wearing her FBI bullet-proof vest, and she also has a smug look on her face. Rich, on the other hand, looks at Jane with a smirk around his mouth. “A cocky Rich Dotcom revels in the protection of the FBI ‘entourage,’” Berger described the scene in the photo.

Another snap shows Rich cowering behind a glass window while Kurt tries to take down a deadly assassin.

Meanwhile, “Blindspot” Season 3 will premiere on Oct. 27 during its new 8 p.m. timeslot. As of late, it is still unclear how many episodes the upcoming season will have. In Season 1, “Blindspot” had a total of 23 episodes, and in Season 2, the series had 22 episodes.
