Quinn on "The Bold and the Beautiful"
Quinn (Rena Sofer) is devastated by Eric’s (John McCook, not pictured) decision about their marriage on the Aug. 4, 2017 episode of “The Bold and the Beautiful.” CBS

She hoped that his saying he was coming home would be a good sign for her and for their marriage, but Quinn has instead been stunned by Eric’s declaration that he wants a divorce. Now, she will do whatever she can to change his mind on the Friday, Aug. 4 episode of “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

After Eric (John McCook) left when he learned of her affair with Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), Quinn (Rena Sofer) was left in the dark about everything to do with her husband on the CBS soap. He ignored all of her calls, and anyone who did learn where he was staying refused to tell her anything, and she was left without any information. That led to more fears for her that the divide between she and Eric was only growing deeper, especially since she did know that he was with Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) of all people.

However, she was given a beacon of hope when Eric finally called her back and told her he wanted to come home, but when he arrived, she was heartbroken when he told her he wanted both her and Ridge off the property, because while he was coming home, she was no longer going to live there because he had already begun the process of filing for divorce.

Now, Quinn will continue begging him to give her another chance, telling him that they can get through this problem if he allows her to have that new opportunity to prove herself to him. However, Eric will remain stoic as she continues to cry that she doesn’t want to lose him.

“It doesn’t have to be over if we don’t let it be,” she says in a preview clip. “I will do anything. Anything, that you ask, just please. Please, Eric, don’t let this be the end.”

However, Eric may have his mind fully made up already, and it will be too late for Quinn to make him any promises or guarantees—and their marriage truly will be completely over.

One person who will celebrate the news however will be Sheila, who reveled in how close she became to Eric while he was hiding out at a hotel and trying to keep a low profile to avoid his family. Before Eric left to go home, she warned him that divorcing Quinn would be the best thing for him, and she has since been confronted by Charlie (Dick Christie) for using the information she received from him about Quinn and Ridge to her advantage. Now though, she will gloat to Charlie that telling Eric the truth worked, as she genuinely believes Quinn has lost Eric completely and won’t be able to win him back at all.

“I say Quinn doesn’t have a prayer of holding on to Eric,” she says in the clip.

“The Bold and the Beautiful” airs weekdays at 1:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
