Bold and the Beautiful
Wyatt (Darin Brooks) and Liam (Scott Clifton) discuss Bill's (Don Diamont) custody battle on the Sept. 20, 2018 episode of "The Bold and the Beautiful." CBS

They have both been burned by their father in the past, but as he prepares to head into a custody battle over his youngest son, Liam and Wyatt could find themselves on different sides when it comes to what's best for Bill and Katie's fight on the Thursday, Sept. 20 episode of "The Bold and the Beautiful."

Liam (Scott Clifton) no longer has a relationship with his father after the stunts Bill (Don Diamont) pulled which kept him and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) apart on the CBS soap. Though Steffy has since opted to not be with him at all, and he went on to marry Hope (Annika Noelle), he still has no relationship with Bill.

Wyatt (Darin Brooks), meanwhile, has also had a relationship that is less than ideal with his father, after Bill threatened to disown him not only when he was planning to marry Katie (Heather Tom), but also when he refused to help him with his plot. Still, his relationship is slightly better than the one Bill has with Liam, which can put them at occasional odds.

Now, as the brothers meet up and discuss the custody battle about to happen between Bill and Katie over Will (Finnegan George), they will realize that they have since ended up on opposite sides of the issue--and that it could be problematic for them.

"I kind of got subpoenaed to testify for Katie," Liam reveals in a preview clip for the episode.

"I kind of got subpoenaed to testify for Dad," Wyatt replies.

Now, the brothers will have to determine what's best for each of them when it comes to the case--and whether or not they agree over the decision Katie made to sue for full custody.

Liam, considering his recent experience, may be more sympathetic to Katie's plight, and could try to convince Wyatt that it's the right call.

"She's gonna do whatever it takes to protect Will," he says in the clip.

"The Bold and the Beautiful" airs weekdays at 1:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
