In "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" Episode 186, Ao tracks down the new Team 7 hideout and is likely prepared to beat them. However, Boruto, Sarada and Mitsuki are ready to welcome their enemy. Boruto has a plan to take out Ao, who has embedded Scientific Ninja Tools all over his body.

Boruto, who doesn't advocate the use of technology in battles, will use Scientific Ninja Tools against Ao. In the episode, Boruto and company will try to remind Ao that he was once a shinobi. Ao is actually beyond the realm of the shinobi world as Kara has given him new powers.

In the last episode, Konohamaru shares the next course of action before Ao catches up to them.
