Kawaki's struggles continue while he starts as a freshman in the Ninja Academy in "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" Episode 262.

The official synopsis of Episode 262 suggests Kawaki is finding it difficult to adjust to the unfamiliar school life.

Despite his struggles, he befriends Kae, who is the subject of his escort mission. Meanwhile, Kae, who wants to get along better with Himawari and the rest of the class, invites them all to her mansion for a tea party.

Kawaki, who can't take her eyes off Kae because of the mission, reluctantly agrees to participate. He tries his best to blend in but feels out of place at the tea party.

However, in the middle of the party, he notices something unusual.

"Kawaki enrolls at the Ninja Academy and begins classes as a freshman with Himawari and the others. But it's actually a secret mission to protect a princess from assassins. This is kept a secret because she's come from abroad to study," read the official synopsis of Episode 261, as per Crunchyroll.
