  • Snoop Dogg urges Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr. to make the fight happen
  • The legendary rapper points out that time is the essence in this type of blockbuster bout
  • Crawford has already dismissed a fight against Spence

Undefeated welterweight world champions Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr. receive a dire warning from one of the most famous personalities in the world.

Apart from his important contributions to the music industry, Snoop Dogg is also known for sharing his insights about sports. In fact, the legendary hip-hop artist has moved it up a notch and ventured out into the world of boxing, partnering with Ryan Kavanaugh for spearheading Triller Fight Club.

In a recent interview with Fight Hype, Snoop Dogg weighed in on the idea of a welterweight super-fight between Crawford and Spence.

According to the Los Angeles native, the pair should face each other as soon as possible and see who the better boxer is. For Snoop Dogg, time is such an important factor in boxing.

“I would love to see those two fight because I feel like that’s what I was talking about with somebody that you got two great champions, and they’re not fighting each other,” he said.

“It’s always like that in boxing,” he added. “You always got intricate things going on that stops the fighters from fighting each other. Then they get old and then you don’t want to see them. When they’re young, in their prime, and fresh, make them lock up. If you lose, you get a second fight. Even in the second fight, you lose; there’s a third fight.”

The 49-year-old rapper also emphasized that he is used to seeing boxers who are more than willing to fight the best without any excuse.

“I come from the era of [Tommy] Hearns, [Marvin] Hagler, [Muhammad] Ali, [Joe] Frazier, Sugar Ray Leonard,” the rap icon pointed out. “You know what I’m saying? That was when fighters got down. There are no in-between. We’re going to lock up.”

As for his Crawford vs. Spence prediction, Snoop Dogg isn’t sure about who will come out on top as he expects the said bout to be a battle of “styles.”

“I don’t know because it’s going to be a great fight,” he explained. “It’s going to be a style type of fight. Errol [Spence] has got a little bit of height on him, but [Terence] Crawford has got such extensive skills. I would just love to see the two fight because I’m a fan of both of them.”

In December, Spence bared that he will be open to fighting Crawford if he gets to take home a bigger purse.

Crawford, on the other hand, recently addressed the issue and insisted that the Spence fight is “never gonna happen” as he is already over it.
