An up-and-coming heavyweight boxer is earning huge compliments from some of the people in the sport that have witnessed his power.

Johnny Fisher has put the heavyweight division on alert after sealing an impressive first-round stoppage win over Matt Gordon in his pro boxing debut last month.

While Fisher could only boast about his first and only win so far, his manager Sam Jones had a lot to brag about regarding his pupil. According to Jones, multi-title heavyweight champion Joe Joyce, who has sparred with Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury, once told him Fisher “hits harder” than the pair.

"Joe [Joyce] has told me that Johnny [Fisher] hits harder than anyone he has been in the ring with," Jones told Sky Sports. "Joe has sparred AJ, Fury, he has fought Oleksandr Usyk [as an amateur]. Johnny hits harder than any of them! Joe says that Johnny has freakish power."

"Anybody that has sparred Johnny will tell you the same thing - unless you're on your game, Johnny will knock your lights out," he added. "He hits as hard as I've seen anyone hit. He has natural power."

In the history of heavyweight boxing, Mike Tyson is one of the few boxers known for their natural-born power. Though Jones didn’t compare Fisher to “Iron Mike,” he is positive his pupil is “naturally heavy-handed” as well.

"He is the nicest man but is naturally aggressive - you should see the way he handles a knife and fork when he sits down to eat!” the manager emphasized. "He is naturally heavy-handed. If he hits somebody with his right hand, I promise they will go to sleep."

Despite the promising career seemingly waiting for Fisher, Jones insisted that the 21-year-old boxing prodigy will not rush on his journey to stardom.

"He's only 21," Jones pointed out of Fisher’s career. "He has great support so this can be a really good ride. "[He] will move slowly. I want him to box in the USA, Europe, I want him to have as much experience as possible because, eventually, there will be some big fights."

"I don't want to put too much pressure on him but he can go all the way, I know he can," he added.

Aside from Jones, Brit boxer Dave Allen is also a witness to Fisher’s incredible power. According to Allen, Fisher is already a star waiting to be discovered and it will be on Jones if his fellow countryman doesn’t get a title fight soon.

"Jonny Fisher, I believe is only experience away from being a top ten heavyweight in Britain already," Allen told World Boxing News. "He’s as good as an athlete, physically strong and physically fit, as any other fighter I know. If he’s not fighting for a British title in three years’ time it’s Sam Jones’ fault."
