“Bridgerton’s” Rege-Jean Page became a fan favorite for his role as Simon Basset on the Netflix series. While the London-born actor has had minor roles on “We the People,” “Waterloo Road” and “Roots,” he has yet to feature in a major leading role.

Page's wait appears to be over, as he will reportedly play a prominent role in the upcoming Paramount film “Dungeons & Dragons.”

The Hollywood Reporter was the first to report the story.

The film also stars Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez and Justice Smith, according to its IMDB.com page.

While details of the film have been kept under wraps, it will be based on the board and video game and will include role-playing, treasure hunting and fantasy creatures.

Fans of the game and Page have been guessing who he will play in the film, as well as sharing their overall excitement about this news.

Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley are the screenwriters and directors of the film that was drafted by Michael Gilio. Jeremy Latcham and Hasbro’s Brian Goldner are producing the film through studio eOne.

A release date has not been announced.

Page, meanwhile, will host “Saturday Night Live” this weekend.

"Bridgerton," which had eight episodes in its first season, has been renewed for a second season.
