Newlyweds Britney Spears and Sam Asghari were granted a restraining order against her ex-husband Jason Alexander.

The "Toxic" singer's attorney, Mathew Rosengart, confirmed to People that Alexander, 40, is "incarcerated" and is under an emergency protective order after he broke into her home in Los Angeles and attempted to crash Spears' wedding to Asghari Thursday.

"This was an outrageous security breach, which I am livid about, but fortunately, Britney is safe and she was a stunning and happy bride," Rosengart said in a statement.

The former federal prosecutor also thanked the Ventura County Sheriff's Office and the sergeants and detectives involved in Alexander's arrest, adding that he looks "forward to working with law enforcement to ensure Alexander is aggressively prosecuted and hopefully convicted, as he definitely should be."

Alexander has been ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from Spears, 40, Asghari, 28, and her estate in Thousand Oaks, California.

A copy of the order, which was obtained by Page Six, stated that Alexander has "continuously trespassed" on Spears' property and had been advised Thursday that he was "not welcomed."

He was allegedly armed with a knife when he entered the pop icon's mansion on her big day.

Alexander, a childhood friend to whom Spears was briefly married in 2004, filmed himself on Instagram Live breaking into her home and was seen surpassing security personnel.

"Britney Spears invited me here. She's my first wife. My only wife. I'm her first husband. I'm here to crash the wedding 'cause nobody [is] here but Sam. So where the f–k's the family?" he said on the live stream.

A physical struggle ensued between Alexander and Spears' security before police arrived and arrested him. He was booked for battery, trespassing and refusing to leave private property, and vandalism, all of which are misdemeanors.

Alexander was also arrested on an outstanding warrant of grand theft embezzlement and receiving stolen property, both of which are felonies. He is scheduled to appear in Ventura County Superior Court Monday.

Spears and Alexander were married for 55 hours in January 2004 after the pair eloped at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas. Their marriage was annulled.

Despite the incident, Spears' wedding continued as planned, and she and Asghari said "I do" before an audience of about 60 guests, including stars such as Madonna and Paris Hilton.
