For ten seasons audiences have kept up with the Kardashians. But now it’s Bruce Jenner’s time to shine on the hit E! series, which first premiered in 2007.

The 65-year-old Olympian (who is currently choosing to be referred to with male pronouns until he specifies otherwise) will star in a two-part special “Keeping Up with the Kardashians: About Bruce” on E! May 17 and 18. The exclusive special will feature “honest, raw and emotional” conversations between Bruce and his family as he opens up about his life as a transgender woman.

Bruce recently divulged about his transition into becoming a woman during an ABC exclusive interview with Diane Sawyer, which aired April 24. In the anticipated sit-down, Bruce discussed his struggle with gender identity and explained to the world how he revealed to his children, both biological and step kids, that he had “the soul of a female.”

"God’s looking down making little Bruce, he’s looking down and he says what are we going to do with this one? Wait a second, we gotta give him something -- everyone has stuff in his life to deal with," he told Sawyer. "Let's give him the soul of a female. Let's see how he deals with that."

In the forthcoming E! special, fans of the famous family will get an intimate look at how they “struggle to process their own feelings” after Bruce opened up about “living life as the person he’s always known himself to be.”

“Kris, Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, Kendall, Kylie and Scott speak candidly with Bruce, ask many questions and begin to understand the tough journey he’s been on his entire life,” a synopsis for the episode reveals.

A press release for the special, which will be produced by Bunim/Murray Productions, a company that has documented LGBT stories for more than 20 years, will feature the family’s unfiltered reactions to Bruce’s brave admission. The episodes will also include family home video footage "that will remind viewers and Bruce’s family of the special times they spent with Bruce as a father, husband and friend and serves as inspiration for the memories they’ll create as Bruce lives his ‘new normal.’”

Part one of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians: About Bruce” will premiere Sunday, May 17, at 9 p.m. EDT on E! Part two of the special will follow on Monday, May 18, at 9 p.m. EDT.
