BTS member Suga revealed why he wasn’t present in Ariana Grande’s photo with the rest of the K-pop boy band crew.

The pop singer’s picture with the band went viral making fans express their hopes for both artists’ collaboration. Yet someone was notably missing in Grande and BTS’ photo op—the band’s other member, Suga.

While all six members were present and perched right beside the 26-year-old singer, fans immediately speculated that the missing rapper was the one who must have taken the photo. Apparently though, that wasn’t the case. And just this Saturday (April 25), Suga shared the real reason why he wasn’t around when the picture was taken.

The rapper-singer hosted “AskShoopD,” an hour-long Q&A session on Twitter to talk about his music preferences and personal details with fans. Army, BTS’ growing fanbase bombarded the music icon with their questions and one of which was a query as to why Suga wasn’t in Grande’s group photo.

“I honestly had no idea she would come say hi,” Suga wrote in response to the fan’s question. “I had something scheduled, so I was away, but I heard she came by… I was surprised when I saw the picture. Had she been there 5 minutes early, I would have been there.”

The South Korean rapper revealed that during the picture taking moment, he was away to host Honey FM as well as attending to his other commitments. He also expressed how he felt dismayed upon knowing the missed his chance to meet Grande in person.

The “7 Rings” singer reportedly met the band members while they were rehearsing for the 2019 Grammy Awards. Grande then captured a monochrome photo of her together with the renowned K-pop septet. The pop singer also shared how she was dumbfounded when she watched the members perform stating that “it was the most incredible thing” she has ever seen. The charming pop icon tweeted it herself last January.

Meanwhile during an interview on the Billboard Grammys Pre-show, the BTS members also witnessed Grande’s performance and announced that they wish to collaborate with the pop singer very soon, Cosmopolitan reported. “Please collaborate with us, Ari,” RM called out to Grande expressing the band members' intent.
