Bull CBS
Michael Weatherly stars in CBS drama “Bull” which airs on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EST after “NCIS.” CBS

TV actor Michael Weatherly is often recognized on the streets. Given that he currently stars in CBS drama “Bull” and was on long-running procedural “NCIS” for 13 seasons, it’s not surprising that the star is stopped on the streets by fans.

Unfortunately, some people mistake Weatherly for someone else. In a recent interview with TVGuide, the CBS star recounted some strange fan encounters. “I was once mistaken for [“Breakfast at Tiffany’s” actor] George Peppard by a 93-year-old woman.” In her defense, Weatherly thinks that she was suffering from dementia or some other illness at an old age home where he met her.

“Somebody once thought I was Blair from ‘The Facts Of Life,’” the actor shared. However, it was a blind person who was going more on how Weatherly felt rather than looked.

The 48-year-old actor has also been mistaken for “The Boondock Saint” actor Sean Patrick Flanery in Planet Hollywood in Vancouver, Canada in 1998. But the good news is that this fan paid for his meal which included a hamburger, fries, a bottle of wine, calamari and salad.

Weatherly left “NCIS” much to many fans’ dismay and now stars in “Bull,” a TV show loosely based on the early career of Dr. Phil McGraw. McGraw founded one of the most prolific trial consulting firms of all time. Weatherly stars as the brash, brilliant and charismatic Dr. Jason Bull. He combines psychology, human intuition and high tech data to figure out what makes jurors, attorneys, witnesses and the accused tick.

The upcoming episode of “Bull,” titled “Bedside Manner,” will see Dr. Bull try to reverse the negative effect of his client, a surgeon, on jurors. He is being sued for malpractice and suffers from a God complex.

Watch Weatherly in “Bull” Season 1, episode 6 on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 9 p.m. EST on CBS.
